Viet Nam has won the No 1 spot on a list of the Top
Hotels in Southeast Asia in the Readers Choice Awards of one of the
world''s most prestigious magazines, Conde Nast Traveler.
Readers nation-wide can look forward to enjoying the resurrection of a
historical comic series by funding it directly in response to a
first-of-its-kind appeal made by Vietnamese authors.
Two hotel spas in Viet Nam have been ranked among the top ten in the
world by readers of US Travel&Leisure magazine, one of the leading
travel guides and information websites.
The winner of this year''s Granta Best Young British Novelist, Evie Wyld,
will meet Vietnamese readers and talk about the next generation of
British writers later this week.
More than 15,000 books covering a variety of fields
will be available for readers during the Free Reading Books festival at
Savico Megamall, 7-9 Nguyen Van Linh Street, Ha Noi.
The 111-year-old Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi and
the Park Hyatt Saigon were included in the top-500 hotels worldwide on
the Conde Nast Traveler Readers Choice Awards 2013 and Travel + Leisure
magazine.
The demand for Vietnamese language versions of foreign titles is growing rapidly among young readers. However,
cumbersome procedures in the publication sector have raised prices of
such books, making it difficult for the youth, especially students, to
buy them.
